I looked at THE FLY magazine as it is Britains no.1music monthly magazine and its audience is similar to mine as well as covering similar stories as my magazine would do so. These content pages are from THE FLY magazine I like the way they are simple and have a big main image which takes up most of the page, therefore it makes it more stimulating to look at, Instead of loads of writing and numbers on the page. This is how I will layout my contents page as it is simple and effective and it is fairly unique to the normal convetions of cover pages and others I have looked at.
I like how have you included a lot of images in your posts as it makes it more visually appealing to readers and helps to support your points. However the actual context you have written needs to be more in depth in terms of why the techniques the magazines use are effective, their purpose and how they make an impact to their target audience. If you can go into this level of detail then it will really improve your work however good first attempt

ReplyDeleteYou could of put more detail into the written research part of your posts as it is slightly minimilistic. Punctuation could also be better as you are 17 years old now. Specifically, the written work could apply to each individual image instead of only concluding at the bottom of the post. This would make it easier to understand which points apply to each image as there could be different points to be made on each.
Research needs to be made on the product and audience of the magazines you looked at as there is no information on what the magazines are called, their history and who reads them. The presentation of the blog is very neat and professional looking but is let down in my opinion by the poor punctuation.
Well done ma babes very effective writing and all relevant. However, there could be more writing as you only have a small amount. If you have more detail and research and cover more points for example comment on each of the things on the magazine cover instead of only saying what you think of the cover overall; it will be a lot better.
